Hello,
I’m currently reasearching into possible correlations between breast density of breast cancer patients and the kinds of toxicities they experience after treatment.

Could someone suggest a software or libraries that can help calculate breast density within a contour on CT ?

EM

Hello @ewurama, thank you for reaching out!

[3DSlicer](https://www.slicer.org/) is probably what you want to look at. You can segment the breast with the [Segment Editor](https://slicer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/module_segmenteditor.html) module and get volume measurements with the Segment Statistics module. You can use its [dedicated Discourse forum](https://discourse.slicer.org/) if you need support specific to 3DSlicer.

Hope this helps!
