# Need Help With Creating a Basic Action

I am trying to increase the Respiration Rate and would like to Build an Action for the Same.

1. The Action should only increase and decrease the respiration rate.
2. Would I need to change any other dependent Variables as well ?

We are currently working on the ability to do this.  
You can pull the integration branch to test this out [with this HowTo](https://gitlab.kitware.com/physiology/engine/-/blob/integration/src/cpp/howto/HowTo-RespiratoryModification.cpp?ref_type=heads)

We also have [this for the cardiovascular system](https://gitlab.kitware.com/physiology/engine/-/blob/integration/src/cpp/howto/HowTo-CardiovascularModification.cpp?ref_type=heads)

Again, work in progress, but so far its been working pretty well for us
