I see there is a built-in event for the ketoacidosis condition,
I wondered what pulse action or pulse condition combination could be used to directly trigger/cause this to develop?

Doing a quick search through the code base, and it looks like we have it listed as a possible event, but it is currently not set anywhere in the engine. We probably put that in there to support it in future development of a diabetes model (Which never came to fruition)

Would modifying the “KetoneProductionRate” on a patient state drive any expected changes? or is this value just a placeholder?
No, its still a place holder
Currently we are only using Ketone bounds here
They are just not yet integrated fully into our substance model
