In my app, we are teaching mechanical ventilation and I was wondering if there is anything on the Pulse Explorer that can mimic the PV tool on a mechanical ventilator? The tool is used to assess lung recruitability and initial PEEP by showing how the lung reacts as the pressure changes.
Unfortunately, there isn’t anything in the current version of the Pulse Explorer to perform a P/V Tool maneuver. However, I’m pretty certain the Mechanical Ventilator Pulse model includes everything under the hood necessary for a P/V Tool. All the settings can be accessed through the API.
I can add a quick example to the SDK to show how I think it should be done. Please let me know if that would be helpful. Adding it to the Explorer GUI would take a little more work and funding.
